COVID-19 vaccinations open to everyone 18+ in London area starting Tuesday | CBC News

Everyone born in 2003 and turning 18 in 2021 can now book a COVID-19 vaccination starting Tuesday.

The Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU) announced vaccine eligibility will expand to everyone 18 years of age and older starting at 8 a.m.

The local decision comes following a provincial announcement Monday morning. The health unit originally planned to open bookings for people 18 and older on May 27.

Appointments can be booked online at starting at 8 a.m. or by calling 226-289-3560 between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. daily.

In addition to including people 18 and older, there is also eligibility for people 16 and older with high-risk health conditions. A full list of eligibility is available on the MLHU website.

As of May 15, the health unit says they have administered over 200,000 doses in Middlesex-London since early March.
